What is Reading Quests?

Reading Quests is a FREE resource dedicated to helping parents build a lifelong love of reading for their child. It’s become increasingly difficult for books to compete with the digital world that relentlessly vies for our children’s attention. Reading Quests was created to even the odds. What is the recommended age range for Reading Quests?

Reading Quests is specifically for children who already know how to read. But don’t. This means children who are typically between 6-12 years old and able to read simple chapter books.

How much does Reading Quests cost?

The downloadable Quest for each book is FREE.

What is in the Reading Quests book study?

Each book study in the Reading Quests library has an accompanying booklet that is FREE to download.  Each Quest has a series of tasks that prompts your child to slow down and to read for comprehension and to develop other skills. Click here to find out more.

How do you select books for the Reading Quests library?

We read.  A lot. We read funny books, sad books, books with pictures, and award-winning books across a variety of genres.  The books that end up in our library have earned a special place in our heart.

My child is a struggling reader. How does Reading Quests help?

We are big believers in reading aloud with kids. Some kids read on their own, others read with their parents at bedtime, and still others listen to an audio version while following along with the book.  It doesn't matter whether a story enters your imagination through your eyes or your ears.   

Is there a difference between using a physical book versus an e-book such as Kindle?
